The Wall Charger I Didn’t Know I Needed

You don’t realize how bad your outlet situation is until you stop fighting over it.
I bought this mostly out of frustration. Between my laptop, phone, headphones, speaker, and whoever else needs to plug something in, the two outlets behind my desk weren’t cutting it. I didn’t want a full surge strip dangling off the wall — I just wanted something compact that could stay put and handle more than two devices.
This little guy nailed it.
It’s a 5-outlet wall extender with 4 USB ports — three USB-A, one USB-C — and somehow it still fits flush against the wall. The angled design is smart: you get outlets on three sides with extra spacing between them, which means those chunky laptop bricks don’t block the other plugs.
I screwed it into the middle of a standard duplex outlet (yes, it comes with a stabilizing screw), and it hasn’t budged since.
⚙️ Technical Specs (for other nerds like me)
If you care about what’s under the hood, here’s the breakdown:
- Outlets: 5 total AC ports, spaced at 2.1 inches apart
- USB Ports:
- 3 × USB-A (5V/2.4A max each)
- 1 × USB-C (5V/3A max)
- Total USB Output: 4.8A combined
- Surge Protection: 1680 Joules, 3-level system (TVS + MOV + GDT)
- Voltage: 125V
- Certifications: ETL certified
- Size: 5.46" × 3.77", fits standard duplex wall plates
That surge protection design is a nice surprise — it’s a true multi-stage circuit, not just a single MOV slapped inside. If you know, you know.
🔌 Real Use Impressions
The USB charging is solid for phones, earbuds, or anything low-draw. It won’t fast-charge your MacBook, but it’ll keep the essentials topped up without hogging an outlet.
What really makes this work, though, is the spacing. The 3-sided layout means you can actually plug five full-sized devices in without bumping into each other — which is rare in this price range.
It also looks cleaner than a power strip. I’m using mine behind my standing desk, powering a monitor, humidifier, dock, lamp, and speaker — all without trailing wires across the floor.
One heads-up: this is designed for duplex outlets only. If you’ve got GFCI outlets, modern stacked sockets, or recessed faceplates, this may not fit snugly or be able to use the screw mount.
If you’ve been juggling wall space or dealing with loose chargers all over your room — this fixes that. It’s one of those under-$10 upgrades that makes your whole setup feel less chaotic.
